The Higher Education Commission (HEC) on Saturday authenticated Director General National Accountability Bureau (DG NAB) Lahore Major (retd) Shahzad Saleem degree.
According to the NAB spokesperson, Major (retd) Shahzad Saleem’s degree was sent to HEC on December 24 for authentication. HEC has authenticated the NAB DG Lahore’s degree, the spokesperson added.
“DG NAB Lahore Shahzad Saleem’s degree has been declared 100% authentic. Shahzad Saleem s/o Zaheer Ahmed Saleem obtained a MSC degree in 2002,” the spokesperson further said.
The Lahore director general of the bureau faced an internal probe over his alleged fake degree on the orders of the Supreme Court. Various political parties had termed Saleem’s degree as dubious and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had called on Saleem to present his degree to the press so that could verify its authenticity.
