In Afghanistan, twelve police personnel were killed during clashes in two different provinces today.
According to Afghan official sources, five police personnel were killed in Kajaki district of Helmand province when a group of armed militants attacked a security checkpoint.
In another incident, seven police personnel were killed in Siory district of Zabul province.
Meanwhile, four Taliban were killed in clashes with security forces outside Pul-e-Khumri in Baghlan province.
